 Method 548.1
The USEPA method 548.1 is an analytical method in which a sample is extracted using ion-exchange, then derivitized using acidic methylation. The derivitized sample is analyzed using a gas chromatograph equipped with a capillary column to perform theseparation and an MS (Mass Spectrometer) detector to detect the analytes. A GC/FID may be used, but an alternate column must confirm results.
